Does your dog walk you instead of the other way around? Try our Loose Leash Walking & Heeling Class! Dogs will practice paying attention to their owners and walking nicely on leash despite interesting distractions. Handlers will learn how to increase their awareness of environmental distractions by "thinking like a dog" and develop skills to motivate their dogs to maintain their attention.
Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per week for 3 weeks
Fee: $125 (If your dog was adopted from a 501(c)3 rescue group or shelter, or has taken a class with us in the past year, the fee is $100)
Course prerequisites: Successful completion of a Beginner-level training course. Dogs should be over 6 months old and comfortable around other people and dogs while on-leash.
Location: 243 Alabama Street
Course includes: Homework and certificate of completion
Class capacity: 6 - 8 dogs
